The Azure Shroud of Doom
he world at large is often a dark and frightening place. The common folk of the world look upon the wild lands with dread. Few people are widely traveled —even the most ambitious merchant is careful to stick to better-known roads. The lands between towns or homesteads are wide and empty. Civilization is most often confined to points of light in the darkness. But these points of light are never static. Sometimes they grow brighter, sometimes they fade, and sometimes… sometimes they are snuffed out altogether.
